The Simpson Strong-Tie THM230/50 is a purpose-built, one-piece hanger designed for supporting 50mm wide mono trusses from timber structures. Constructed from pre-galvanised steel and developed to replace older LUS and HUS models, this hanger offers improved installation speed and structural integrity with multiple fixing options.
Mono Truss Specific Design: Designed for 50mm wide mono trusses, offering a tailored fit and secure load transfer.
Non-Welded One-Piece Construction: Delivers uniform strength without weld weak points, ensuring consistent performance under load.
Dual Installation Options:
Square twist nails only
Square twist nails with Double Shear Nailing, directing 75mm nails into the joist at a 45° angle for improved connection strength and easier nailing.
Integrated Speed Prongs: Secure the hanger in place during installation, making the process quicker and more precise.
Simpson Strong-Tie’s exclusive double shear nailing system enables nails to enter the joist at a 45-degree angle. This not only improves structural strength but also allows for straight hammering—removing the need to swing the hammer sideways in confined spaces.
Faster installation with built-in speed prongs
Enhanced load transfer through shear-angle fixing
Replaces legacy LUS and HUS models for greater versatility
Corrosion-resistant pre-galvanised finish for long-term reliability
Pack Size: 1 hanger
