Installation Guidelines

Horizontal Strap Installation (Roof/Floor Joists)

• Perpendicular to Joists:
  Must be fixed tightly against the masonry and secured across the first 3 joists.

• Parallel to Joists:
  Must also be held tightly to the masonry and have a minimum length of 1200mm.

• Spacing:
  Lateral restraint straps should be installed at maximum 2-metre centres, as per Approved Document A.
